Recently, the consortium formed by China Energy Construction International Corporation and Guangxi Engineering Bureau and the Philippines COHECO Hydropower Company signed the EPC contract for the Kepanan 60MW Hydropower Project in the form of a cloud contract. This is another achievement of the rolling development of international companies in the Philippine market following the Kaliwa Dam and the 500MW Mapanepo Pumped Storage Power Station.

The project is located in Baguio Province, Luzon Island, Philippines. It consists of three 20MW radial units. It is planned to start construction in March 2021. After the project is completed, it will greatly improve the local power supply, optimize the power structure, and enhance the local people's livelihood.

After fierce competition, the consortium finally won the trust of the owners with a strong bidding plan. The preparation of the project plan and contract negotiation lasted for one year, during which the consortium team conducted more than forty video contract negotiations with the owners, host manufacturers and other related parties. According to the requirements of the owner and the characteristics of the project, the project team fully studied and judged the risks of the project, laying a solid foundation for the smooth performance of the project.

The signing and entry into force of the project further consolidated the dominant position of international companies in the Philippine hydropower and water conservancy project contracting market, played a positive role in promoting the promotion and construction of China Energy's brand in the Philippines, and at the same time provided strong support for the sustainable development of international companies .
