Among them, the extension of Line 4, the northern extension of Line 18, the first phase of Line 15, and the first phase of Line 24 have completed construction bidding, and the remaining four lines are scheduled to start construction in 2021.

West Extension of Line 4

The west extension section of Line 4 (Pangui Road-Min'an Avenue) is 11 kilometers in length, with an investment of 10.6 billion yuan, including Pangui Road Station, Shima Interchange Station, Yudaishan Station, Panxi Station, Dashiba Station, and Daqing Village There are 9 stations in total: Huayuan Station, Huayuan Station, Longxi Station and Jiazhou Road Station.

Line 4 is one of the east-west backbone lines in Chongqing's rail transit network, passing through Yubei District, Jiangbei District, and Liangjiang New District. It is an important link between the eastern advanced manufacturing industry belt of the outer Liangjiang New District and the core area of the main city. It is reported that the west extension section of Line 4 extends westward on the basis of the first phase of Line 4, extending into the core area of the central city to enhance the density of the track network and track service functions of the Guanyinqiao area.

North Extension of Line 18

The north extension section of Line 18 (Fuhua Road~Xiaoshizi) is 11 kilometers long, with an investment of 10 billion yuan, and includes Dapingxi Station, Huangshaxi Station, Caiyuan Road Station, Chongqing Station, Qixinggang Station, Shibati Station, There are a total of 8 stations at Kaixuan Road Station and Xiaoshizi Station.

Line 18 is a backbone line from the southwest to the northeast in Chongqing's rail transit network, which strengthens the rapid connection between the core areas of the city. The northern extension of Line 18 is a dense line in the central urban area, which is connected with Line 18, which will effectively alleviate traffic congestion in Hualong Bridge, Daping, Caiyuanba and other areas, and fill the track gap in the lower half of Yuzhong Peninsula.

Line 15 Phase I Project

Line 15 (Zengjia ~ Jiangbei Airport T3 Terminal ~ Liangjiang Film and Television City) has a total length of 67 kilometers and will be constructed in the first and second phases. Line 15 is the first urban rail express line in Chongqing that connects the east, middle and west three trough valleys, with a design speed of 140 km/h, realizing rapid connection between Science City, Lijia Smart City, and Liangjiang Collaborative Innovation Zone, as well as connecting Jiangbei Airport, Major transportation hubs such as the Science City Railway Hub and Fusheng High-speed Railway Station will strongly promote the integrated development of the central city area, and reserve the operating conditions for the inter-city rail express line in the main city new area.

The first phase of the project has a total length of 38.7 kilometers and an investment of 27.4 billion yuan. It will set up Jiuquhe East Station, Chongguang Station, Long'an Road Station, Jintong Road Station, Guotang Road Station, Southwest University of Political Science and Law Station, Baosheng Lake Station, and Xiuhu Lake. There are a total of 14 stations at Road Station, T3 Terminal Station, Longjun Avenue Station, Liangjiang Avenue Station, Fusheng Station, Modern Avenue Station and Liangjiang Film and Television City Station.

Line 24 Phase I

Line 24 is the east-west backbone line in the central and southern parts of Chongqing’s rail transit network. The first phase of line 24 (Lerjiaobei ~ Guangyang Bay) has a total length of 19 kilometers, with an investment of 15.2 billion yuan. The Lujiao North Station and Kuangjia There are 12 stations in Tang Station, Zhuyuancun Station, Chongqing East Station, Dilongwan Station, Taohua Road Station, Waziba Station, Chafu Road Station, Commercial City Station, Yinglong Station, Commercial City North Station, and Guangyang Bay Station .

According to news from the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Committee, since the construction of Line 2 in 2000, Chongqing’s operating track line has reached 370 kilometers, and the central urban area has formally formed a “ring + radial” track operating network, covering airports and trains. Stations, long-distance bus stations and other external transportation hubs, major commercial centers and large-scale residential areas in central urban areas, the daily passenger flow is up to 3.87 million. At present, rail transit travel accounts for 40% of bus travel, and rail transit has become increasingly prominent in the backbone of the public transportation system.

The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Committee revealed that the first phase of the 32-kilometer line of Line 9 will be completed and opened to traffic in 2021. In 2022, it is planned to complete the second phase of Line 4, the north extension of Line 5, the second phase of Line 10, the second phase of Line 10, the line 18, and the Jiangtiao line, including 7 (sections) of 119 kilometers, with a mileage of 521 kilometers. It is estimated that by 2025, all the 8 198-kilometer lines planned for the fourth phase of the construction plan will be completed. By then, Chongqing will form a public transportation system with rail transit as the backbone, and 45-minute rail access will be realized between the urban functional center and the external transportation hub.
