On March 4, 2021, with the last 32 meter box girder accurately erected on pier 180 and 181 of the bridge, Jingyuan Yellow River Bridge, the longest bridge of China Lanzhou passenger dedicated line constructed by China Railway Bridge Bureau, was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the next track laying construction and the opening of the whole line on schedule.

Jingyuan Yellow River Bridge, located in Dongwan town and mitan Township, Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is one of the "four tunnels and one bridge" control projects of China Lanzhou passenger dedicated line (Gansu Section), and also the longest bridge of the whole line. The bridge is 7.083km long and 12.2m wide, with 2360 pile foundations, 209 bearing platforms, 207 pier shafts and 2 abutments. It is the only bridge across the Yellow River in Gansu Province.

Due to the shallow overburden layer of the Yellow river bed at the bridge site, most of which are pebbles with large particle size, the flow velocity is large and the change is violent, so the construction of bridge foundation on water is difficult. In order to ensure the safe and orderly progress of beam erection construction, Lanzhou engineering construction headquarters carefully organized and planned ahead of time, together with China Lanzhou passenger dedicated line company, organized design, construction, supervision and other units to hold scheme seminars for many times, optimized the on-site construction scheme, actively coordinated with relevant units, and did a good job in scheme review, safety disclosure, personnel and equipment status inspection In order to overcome the difficulties of long transportation distance of box girder, construction across Wangchang railway special line, G6 Beijing Tibet Expressway and g109 National Road, such as high safety risk, large line slope and complex working conditions, a professional transportation and girder erection team was established.
