On March 11, 2021, President Sadr Zaparov of Kyrgyzstan successfully arrived in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, for a two-day state visit to Uzbekistan.

Uzbek Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov personally went to Tashkent International Airport to greet Zaparov.

According to sources, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine are strategic partners, and the two sides will further develop good-neighborly and friendly relations and carry out all-round cooperation.

It is reported that during the visit, Zaparov will meet with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Senate Speaker Tanzila Nalbayeva, Legislative Yuan Speaker Nurdinjo Ismailov, and Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov held bilateral talks.

In addition, in order to develop bilateral trade and economic relations, Zaparov also plans to hold a Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Business Forum during his visit.

President Sadr Zaparov of Kyrgyzstan went to Tashkent Independence Square to lay flowers in front of the Independence and Humanitarian Monument.

Subsequently, the President of Kyrgyzstan Zaparov met with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The two sides discussed the status quo and development prospects of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Mirziyoyev emphasized that Uzbekistan will actively cooperate with fraternal countries. Gradually remove trade barriers and strengthen business exchanges.

Zaparov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine are close fraternal countries, and regular dialogue should be maintained between the two countries. Speeding up the negotiation process on border issues, and legal border demarcation will provide new and stable impetus for border security.

Zaparov also pointed out that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the comprehensive expansion and deepening of trade and economic cooperation with Uzbekistan, and expressed its willingness to work together to create favorable conditions for the smooth entry of commodities into the markets of the two countries in order to increase the volume of bilateral trade.
