Recently, the preliminary design for the expansion project of the G5513 Changsha-Zhangjiajie National Expressway from Yiyang to Changde was approved by the Ministry of Transport.

G5513 Chang-Zhang Expressway Yiyang-Changde Section

The route of the project starts from the Interchange of Bijiashan Hub in Heshan District, Yiyang City, connects with the expansion project of Changsha-Yiyang Expressway that has been built, ends at Ludishan Interchange in Wuling District, Changde City, connects to the built G55 Erguang Expressway, and connects to Dongting City. The main line is 93 kilometers long. It adopts two-way six-lane expressway standard construction with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, a roadbed width of 34 meters, and a total investment of 18.6 billion yuan.

It is understood that the G5513 Changsha-Zhangjiajie National Expressway from Yiyang to Changde is an important section of the national expressway network. After the completion of the expansion project of this section, it will help improve regional traffic conditions and improve the service capacity, driving safety and service level of Yichang Expressway.
