Chinese President Xi Jinping solemnly declared that China has won a comprehensive victory in the fight against poverty, and that all the 98.99 million rural residents living under the current poverty line have been lifted out of poverty. El-Badri indicated that Egypt and China are committed to strengthening bilateral relations in various fields. In the past year, the outbreak of COVID-19 has been challenging for both countries. The world economy will remain in a sluggish state in the first half of 2021 due to the continued spread of COVID-19, according to the World Bank's Global Economic Prospects report released recently.
