The Chibi Yangtze River Highway Bridge is one of the first batch of 80 demonstration projects in the infrastructure and other fields of the National Development and Reform Commission to encourage social capital to participate in construction and operation. After completion, Xianning will have two Yangtze River bridges, Jiayu Yangtze River Highway Bridge and Chibi Yangtze River Highway Bridge, forming a two-way traffic pattern across the river between Hubei and Jianghan Plain.
