On March 18, 2021, the construction of the Yuhuan·Haishan Eco-tourism Island Project started, which marked the official press of the "fast forward button" for the development and construction of the entire Haishan Island.

The Haishan Eco-tourism Island project is jointly developed by the China Communications Consortium and Yuhuan State Investment Group. It is located in the center of Yueqing Bay on the west side of Yuhuan City. The development scope is mainly on Maomen Island, Maotan Island and surrounding islands. The total land area is 8.31 square meters. Kilometers, a total investment of 13.8 billion yuan, and a cooperation period of 25 years. It is the first key project in Zhejiang Province to build a pilot area for integrated development of islands and a national marine park.

The six sections of the project plan are tourism gateway, happy lakes and seas, original fishing farming villages, Chuangzhi Garden, Kangyang waterfront, and habitation valleys. It will rely on the culture of farming, sea, animal husbandry and fishery and mountains, seas, bays, beaches and fields. With the development concept of "flexible islands", the natural resources such as "flexible islands" are superimposed and aggregated with "ocean + science and technology innovation + tourism" characteristic industries to create an ideal mountain and sea island and residence destination that integrates coastal vacation, scientific innovation experience, health and leisure.

Haishan Tourism Distribution Center

The architectural shape of the Haishan Tourism Distribution Center is derived from the "mountain and sea jade ring", which looks like a jade belt floating between the mountains and the sea at sunrise. On the top of the building's atrium and on the facade, free-falling construction technology is used, combined with the dynamic metal decorative curtain wall technology, to create an architectural space with immersive experience.

The project is located in the tourist gateway area of Maotai Island, and is the first stop for the people entering the island to reach Haishan Island. The total land area of the project is 14,135 square meters, and the total construction area is 8561 square meters.

After the project is completed, it will become a comprehensive activity center integrating cultural display, planning exhibitions, publicity and investment promotion, tourist reception, tour guide and navigation, and parking collection and distribution.

Ecological restoration project of H1 and H2 plots

The ecological restoration project of the H1 and H2 plots is located in the west of Maodai Island. The project aims at ecological management, creating a landscape gateway for the Haishan Eco-tourism Island project and a place for tourists to relax, visit, and distribute.

The total area of the project is 34,209 square meters, and the construction content is ecological restoration and landscape improvement, including: landscape civil construction, greening engineering, lighting engineering, water supply and drainage engineering, saline-alkali drainage, sponge city and supporting auxiliary facilities, etc.

H1 plot area: 10556 square meters, the main attractions include viewing platforms, sky planks, wind sculptures, cultural landscape walls, etc.;

H2 plot area: 23,653 square meters, the main attractions include fountain square, children's playground, entrance wall, sunny lawn, rain garden, landscape tree pond, etc.

The first phase of the mountain trail

The project is located on the Paoxi Mountain and the Nantan Mountain. Relying on the current roadway, some village roads, ridges and other walking paths will be rebuilt, the corresponding supporting facilities will be improved, and the greening along the line will be upgraded to form a relatively complete slow-moving system.

The construction content includes the reconstruction and new construction of 1076 meters of mountain trails; the construction of 2 new viewing platforms; the construction of new rest pavilions, drainage, lighting, and 2-5 meters of mountain greening and beautification projects along the line.

Main construction indicators: green area of 13,800 square meters; viewing platform area of 208 square meters.

Paoxi Village Mountain Trail: Located at the northwest corner of Mao's Island, the design range of the mountain trail is about 30,200 square meters.

Nantan Village Mountain Trail: Located at the southeast corner of Maodai Island, the design range of the mountain trail is approximately 34,891 square meters.

Comprehensive Treatment Project of Nantan Water System

The comprehensive treatment project of Nantan water system is located in Nantan Village, Haishan Township, with a total treatment area of approximately 142,000 square meters.

The content of the project includes: water environment treatment (dredging and dredging, reinforcement of original structures, widening of roads on top of the embankment), water resources treatment, water pollution treatment, landscape improvement (inside embankment landscape construction, embankment landscape improvement, and ecological vegetation restoration outside the embankment), etc.

Project positioning: Taking large-scale water landscape as the core feature, creating an open, active and fashionable waterfront landscape, creating a "two-color seascape" of the clear water in the dike and the sea outside the dike and a landscape artistic conception of strolling between the mountains and the sea.

Nantan Village Reconstruction and Upgrade Project

Nantan Village is located in the southeast of Maodai Island in Haishan Township. The total area of the village is 161.77 hectares and the village covers an area of 10.77 hectares. There are 340 households and 1251 people in the village.

The content of the project includes: relying on the existing villages of Nantan Village to transform and upgrade them, including roads, landscapes, facades, public buildings, sketches, etc., to create a beautiful village with local characteristics.

Seawall Anlan Project around the island

The seawall Anlan project around the island has a total length of about 10 kilometers. The construction of the project is based on tide prevention and disaster reduction, guided by the ecological seawall, and is committed to creating a unique lifeline, landscape, and happiness line.

The content of the project includes greenway construction, road construction, landscape node construction, seawall ecological quality improvement, seawall integration improvement, etc.

Security level: moisture-proof standard once in 50 years, defensive standard once in 50 years.

Construction goal: To build a "safe +" high-standard ecological sea pond with "safe, ecological, and integrated" as the goal, build an open and shared slow-moving network along the pond greenway and a network of vehicle traffic.

Poxi Wharf Reconstruction and Upgrade

Paoxi Wharf Wharf is located at the western end of Maodai Island in Haishan Township, covering a total area of approximately 6,872 square meters.

The content of the project includes: including berth reconstruction, wharf construction, and supporting facilities construction, etc.

The construction level is a 1,000-ton passenger terminal.

Parent-child paradise

The parent-child paradise is located on the west side of the intersection of Nantan Road and Yugeng Road on Maodai Island, Haishan Township, with a planned area of about 130 mu.

The content of the project includes the introduction of domestic well-known parent-child amusement brands, through the creation of parent-child products, optimizing the use of regional water resources, building a high-quality water park in the happy lake area, and creating a parent-child theme destination to spend a good time together.

Paoxi Mountain Sports Camp

The Paoxi Mountain Sports Camp Project is located in Paoxi Village, Maodao Island, Haishan Township, with a planned area of about 200 acres.

The content of the project includes the use of the image and natural conditions of the Paoxi mountain portal and the introduction of well-known outdoor brands at home and abroad to build a sports camp integrating mountain sports, outdoor research, and camp leisure.
