The Urumqi Ring Expressway (West Line) PPP project is an important route in Xinjiang’s high-speed network, with a total length of 91.784 kilometers. The route starts at the end of the East Ring Expressway, which is connected to Wulabo West, and the end of the route is connected to the northeast with Tuwu University. The high-speed connection ends at about 3.6 kilometers west of the Ganquanpu Interchange on the Tuwu-Wuhan Expressway. After the completion of the project, the Urumqi Ring Expressway will be formed together with the Ring Expressway (East Line). The entire project adopts two-way eight-lane expressway standards, the design speed is 100 km/h, the subgrade width is 41 meters, the separated subgrade width is 4x13.0 meters, the design load of bridges and culverts is highway-Ⅰ, and the construction period of the West Ring Expressway is 3 years. , The estimated total investment is about 16.1 billion yuan.

It is understood that the east line project of the Urumqi Ring Expressway was completed and opened to traffic in 2016. After the completion of the west line project, it will effectively enhance the radiation effect of the capital city of Urumqi, greatly alleviate the traffic pressure on the road network in the central city, and remove the central city of Urumqi from the original central area. Expand to the second and third ring areas, and promote the transformation of the capital's central urban area from the original one-hour economic circle to a half-hour economic circle.

The PPP project of Urumqi Ring Expressway (West Line) is a consortium of China Power Construction Road and Bridge Group and Gezhouba Group.
