The development of the Wujiang Baima Navigation and Hydropower Project is focused on shipping, taking into account power generation, and the hub project is classified as II. The scale is a large (2) type project with a normal storage level of 184 meters, a total storage capacity of 374 million cubic meters, and a total installed capacity. 480 megawatts. The planned channel level is Class IV, and the navigable buildings are 500-ton single-level ship locks, with a designed annual one-way passing capacity of 6.596 million tons.
The power station of the Wujiang Baima Navigation and Hydropower Project has an installed capacity of 480,000 kilowatts, with an average power generation of 1.712 billion kWh over the years. After the completion of the project, it will effectively eliminate more than 20 beach risks on the Wujiang River, and the channelized channel will have a length of about 45.3 kilometers.
