As a node city connecting with the European Union, Guangxi is the key to promoting the development of China-ASEAN cooperation. The Planning and Construction Management Office of Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, Nanning City, Guangxi introduced on April 13 that the Sino-Singapore Nanning International Logistics Park project is accelerating, and the first phase of Xinzhong Wisdom The Nanning hub project of the park and the new CITIC Thai China Smart Pharmaceutical Logistics Network has been completed and put into operation. The second phase of the "ASEAN Multimodal Transport Smart Industry City" project of the Science and Technology Innovation Park has held a topping-out ceremony in March 2021.

As one of the key projects in Guangxi to promote the new western land-sea channel, Sino-Singapore Nanning International Logistics Park has a total investment of 10 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), with a planned area of 4,273 acres. It is invested by Singapore Pacific Shipping Co., Ltd. and will be developed and constructed in three phases . The project is committed to building a China-ASEAN multimodal transport alliance base and promoting Nanning to become an important cargo distribution center in the western region. Nanning officials stated that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the city will take the construction of new land-sea corridors in the west as the traction, speed up the construction of corridors and logistics infrastructure, and vigorously enhance the influence of the "Nanning Channel".
The total investment of Nanning International Railway Port, located at the core freight node of the Nanning Railway Hub, is estimated to be about 13 billion yuan, with a land scale of 6,402 acres. It is also an important node project for the new western land-sea corridor. At present, the first phase of the project has been completed and put into operation, and the second phase of the project has started construction on the customs-supervised workplace, agricultural product logistics area, steel logistics area, and highway port e-commerce logistics area. The customs-supervised workplace is planned to be completed and put into operation at the end of May 2021. By then, it will undertake the functions of customs declaration, inspection, and export bonded import and export business, effectively reducing the time for China-Vietnam trains, improving transportation efficiency, and reducing transportation costs.

In order to accelerate the construction of new land-sea corridors in the western region, and build an efficient and convenient logistics network for ASEAN, connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and connecting the southwest and central-south regions, Guangxi plans to invest more than 100 billion yuan in the construction of 324 "logistics network" projects from 2020 to 2022. Efforts will be made to build Nanning City into a commercial and land-port integrated logistics hub, Qinzhou City into a port-type sea-rail combined transport hub, and Pingxiang City, etc., into a port-type logistics hub.
At present, Guangxi’s Qinzhou Port East Channel Expansion Project has been fully accelerated. The first phase of the adjustment project is scheduled to be completed in June 2021. At that time, the Qinzhou Port East Channel will be navigable for 200,000-ton container ships, which will help the Beibu Gulf Port to further adapt to the globalization of large-scale container ships. Development, speed up the construction of the new international gateway port for land and sea in the west, and comprehensively enhance the navigation capacity and international core competitiveness of Qinzhou Port and the entire Beibu Gulf Port.
