Sinopec Refining & Chemical Engineering Group announced on April 9, 2021 that the group signed a BEPC general contract with ExxonMobil (Huizhou) Chemical Co., Ltd. for the proposed Huizhou Ethylene Phase I project.
BEPC Engineering General Contracting Project
The project is still subject to the final investment decision. The project is located in Daya Bay Petrochemical Park, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China. The main equipment includes 1.6 million tons/year flexible feed ethylene steam cracker, downstream polymer equipment and supporting facilities. The main product equipment includes two high-performance polyethylene production lines and two differentiated high-performance polypropylene production lines.
According to the contract, Sinopec Refining & Chemical Engineering Group will provide EMHCC with BEPC engineering general contracting services for the construction of the project. The main scope of the contract includes the basic design, detailed engineering design, procurement and construction of all process equipment, public works and auxiliary facilities. The contract value is expected to reach billions of dollars.
