On April 13, 2021, China Railway Jingxiong (Beijing) Expressway Development Co., Ltd. convened a mobilization meeting for the “Second Quarter of Doing Hard Work, Offering Gifts and Building the Party for 100 Years”, and the project construction was accelerated in an all-round way. It is reported that all the preliminary preparations for the Jingxiong Expressway (Beijing Section) have been completed, and the land acquisition and demolition rate has reached 70.2%, and all construction sites on the entire line have been started.
The Jingxiong Expressway (Beijing Section) project starts from the Fifth Ring Road in the north, crosses Yongding River, Metro Fangshan Line, and Jingshen Road to the west and then turns south. After crossing the Sixth Ring Road, it continues to extend south to reach the city boundary and connects to the Jingxiong Expressway. The Hebei section is connected to the design starting point, about 27 kilometers. The whole line adopts the two-way eight-lane expressway standard for construction, and the standard roadbed width is 42 meters.
It is understood that the Beijing section of the Jingxiong Expressway has a total of 1 super bridge, 4 viaduct sections, and 5 interchanges. The 5 interchanges include 2 hub-type interchanges (Fifth Ring Interchange, Sixth Ring Interchange) and 3 general interchanges (Changyang Interchange, Liangxiang Interchange, Jingshen Road Interchange). In terms of the setting of entrances and exits and toll stations, 1 main line toll station (between the 5th and 6th ring roads) and 3 general overpasses set up ramp toll stations.
The Beijing section of the Beijing-Xiong Expressway from the sixth ring to the city boundary is expected to be completed and opened to traffic at the end of 2021; After the completion of the project, it will further promote the integrated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, drive the economy around Beijing, promote the construction of the new pattern of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei "four horizontal, four vertical and one ring" transportation system, and build the main line of the Beijing-Xiong 1-hour traffic circle.
