Recently, PowerChina’s Ethiopian representative company and the Ethiopian Power Company signed an EPC general contract for the LOT3A and LOT4A bidding sections of the Ethiopian ARGO Industrial Park in the capital Addis Ababa.

The project is a supporting substation and power supply project for the newly built ARGO Industrial and Agricultural Industrial Park in Ethiopia. The specific construction content includes the new construction of two 132KV substations and the transformation and expansion of the original three 132KV substations. The project is expected to start in June 2021, with a total construction period of 12 months. After the completion of the project, it will greatly improve the power supply of the park, provide a strong power guarantee for the development of the industrial park, and effectively promote the development of industrial and agricultural industrialization in Ethiopia.

Since entering the Ethiopian market, POWERCHINA has adhered to the front line and acted actively, and successively undertook 29 hydropower, wind power, urban power grid transformation, power transmission and transformation, highways, and water supply projects, which contributed to the local economic and social development and alleviated the local power supply shortage.
