On April 19, 2021, the North China Research Institute of China Energy Construction Group won the bid for the survey and design project of Guohua Power Panshan Power Plant's innovative upgrade and life extension transformation. Guohua Power Panshan Power Plant is located in Jizhou District, Tianjin, and is an important power support point for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Power Grid. It was originally two Russian-made 500,000-kilowatt critical coal-fired generating units, which were put into operation in February 1996 and April 1996, respectively. , And then increased the capacity to 530,000 kilowatts respectively.

This project will make full use of the existing conditions of Guohua Power Panshan Power Plant. The unit parameters will be upgraded to 28 MPa/600 degrees Celsius/620 degrees Celsius across generations. Large-capacity heating, deep peak shaving, thermal electrolytic coupling, flue gas waste heat utilization, and recovery will be adopted. Thermal system optimization, multi-energy complementation, smart safety and other energy-saving transformation and innovative upgrading technologies, to achieve innovative upgrades of power plants and extend unit life, and ultimately build Guohua Power Panshan Power Plant into a safe, reliable, low-carbon, high-efficiency, high-quality regional clean energy center.
This project is the first domestic project with an overall life extension of 30 years and a cross-generational upgrade of parameters. It will apply for a national demonstration project to provide a demonstration for the innovative technology upgrade and life extension of other domestic old coal-fired power generation units. After the power plant implements innovative upgrades and life extension, it will continue to play the supporting role of the local power supply of the load center, improve the safety and reliability of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei power grid, and meet the increasing heat load demand in Tianjin Jizhou District and surrounding areas; at the same time, it can reduce carbon dioxide every year Emissions of about 370,000 tons will help Tianjin to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality, with good economic, social and environmental benefits.
