Recently, the China Energy Construction Gezhouba Electric Power Company-Laos AMBE Corporation Consortium and Yunnan Energy Investment International Engineering Co., Ltd. signed a $113 million (about 734 million yuan) Laos Panha-Banna-Athupo transmission and transformation project The contract will further promote the rolling development of the Laos market, vigorously promote the interconnection of power grids in the region, and add bright colors to the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" between China and Laos.
The project is invested and developed by Yunnan Energy Investment International Engineering Co., Ltd. in the BOT model. It is planned to build the Banha substation and the Attap substation and between the two power stations in the three main provinces of Basat, Attap and Sekung in southern Laos. 203 kilometers of 500kV high-voltage transmission and transformation lines. Laos is located inland and has abundant water resources. There are more than 20 rivers with a flow of more than 200 kilometers in the territory, which provides unique conditions for the development of hydropower. Countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia around Laos have strong demand for electricity. Therefore, breaking through the heavy mountain blockade, changing the "land lock country" into a "land union country", vigorously developing hydropower, and building Laos into an "Indochina Peninsula battery" is an important development goal of Laos' society and economy. However, the backward construction of the power grid in Laos has greatly restricted the power transmission in the region.
Connected to central and southern Laos
The implementation of the Banha-Banna-Athuppo power transmission and transformation project in Laos will connect the power grids in southern and central Laos, effectively improve the power supply and stability in the southern region, increase Laos power exports, and effectively ensure the interconnection of the national power grids in the region The stable and efficient interconnection has played a positive role in promoting the energy industry, economic and social development and regional economic development of Laos.
The successful signing of the project is another achievement of Energy China Gezhouba Group's implementation of Energy China's "Several Opinions", adherence to market-oriented, and rolling development in Laos. Since entering the Laos market in the 1990s, Gezhouba Group has undertaken more than 10 key projects such as the Huilam Pangya Power Station in Laos, the Northern and Southern Rural Electrification Project, and the Sesalalong Irrigation Project, and won the Lao National Electric Power Special Contribution Award. Many awards have made positive contributions to the economic and social development of Laos. Editor/XuNing 、Design/XiaChangwang
