In the early morning of April 24, the most beautiful discovery group departed from Shijiazhuang to Xibaipo Memorial Hall.

Xibaipo is located in the central part of Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. In May 1948, Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Ren Bishi led the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to move eastward and joined the Central Working Committee in Xibaipo. The People's Liberation Army headquarters also moved in at the same time. From then on, the torch of Xibaipo began to illuminate the whole of China.

The September Conference, the Three Great Battles, the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee... Mao Zedong and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China outlined the grand blueprint for the new China here, and the new China bred and matured here. On March 23, 1949, the Party Central Committee set off from Xibaipo to Peiping, taking the step of "entering Beijing to rush the exam."

In Xibaipo, the Communist Party of China completed the transformation from a revolutionary party to a ruling party and a mature party. Xibaipo, a small mountain village in Pingshan, Hebei, became the "last rural command post" of the Party Central Committee to liberate all of China.

Before the statue of the "Five Secretaries", it was found that the League collectively cherished the memory of revolutionary martyrs and relived the oath of joining the party with a sonorous voice.

In front of the simple tables and chairs in the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee, listen to the "Two Musts" teachings; in the courtyard where Chairman Mao lived, I thought about the bold question and answer of "Going to Beijing for the exam"; follow the exhibition route to visit and learn, and then go again "Going to Beijing for exams", following the party's original aspirations, and feeling the hard work style of the older generation of revolutionaries.

At 3 o'clock in the afternoon, the most beautiful group came to Shijiazhuang depot. The Shijiazhuang depot is responsible for the maintenance of freight trains on the Beijing-Guangzhou Line, Beijing-Kowloon Line, Shide Line, Shi-Tai Line, Handan-Changzhou Line, Handan-Ji Line, etc., as well as freight trains on the Shuohuang Line of joint-venture railways. Generally speaking, the Shijiazhuang depot is a "4S shop" for the maintenance of railway freight cars.

The Shijiazhuang depot can be traced back to the Shijiazhuang locomotive oiling station of Zhengtai Railway in 1904. For more than 110 years, several generations of Shijiazhuang depot people have been immersed in hard work. With the sonorous steps of railway reform and development, they have been striving for first-class at a new historical starting point. .

Here, the discovery group experienced the intelligence of the railway truck "4S shop" at close range. Since 2018, the Shijiazhuang Depot has established a "smart car" studio, comprehensively built a smart maintenance information platform, established a big data analysis center, and gradually realized "smart maintenance" through technological innovation.

In a corner of the Shijiazhuang Depot Staff Cultural Activity Center, many precious railway collections attracted the attention of the discovery team.

The owner of these collections is Li Zhiqiang, a bearing fitter in the parts workshop, and a member of the China Collectors Association, a member of the China Collectors Railway Association and a member of the Hebei Provincial Collectors Association. What is on display at the Workers’ Cultural Activity Center is only a part of his 16-year collection of railway “old objects”.

Li Zhiqiang joined the railway work in 1985. Over the past 36 years, he has witnessed the rapid development of my country's railway industry. He has a special affection for railways and a deep attachment to railway "old objects". So, starting in 2005, he began to focus on railway-themed collections, and became associated with railway "old objects" and became a "hardcore" railway fan.

His railway collection covers the locomotive nameplates, documents, commemorative medals, office porcelains of the Jingfeng, Jinpu, and Zhengtai Railway, as well as modern train cups, propaganda posters, railway uniforms of various periods, railway signal lights, train timetables, commemorative medals, etc. There are about 1,000 items.
