China's Wuyi actively implements the Belt and Road Initiative and has successively won bids in Uganda and Papua New Guinea, which indicates that the company's overseas cooperation is becoming closer and the potential for development is huge.

Uganda Municipal Highway Project

Recently, the Wuyi Uganda branch of China successfully won the bid for the Entebbe, Masaka, and Mubende projects. They are located in 3 cities in Uganda, namely Entebbe (46 kilometers from the capital, in central Uganda) and Masaka (134 kilometers from the capital, in Uganda). Southwest) and the city of Mubend (153 kilometers from the capital, in western Uganda).

The project implementation method is the construction general contracting mode, and the unit price contract is adopted. The main construction content is the renovation of 12.263 kilometers of municipal roads in 3 cities, including drainage system, earthwork, pavement structure layer, asphalt layer, street lights and other auxiliary projects. The project construction period is 15 months and the warranty period is 12 months. The total contract amount is approximately RMB 120 million. In the bidding stage, the project was jointly tendered by 3 cities and towns. After winning the bid, contracts were signed with the city halls of the 3 cities and towns.

Papua New Guinea CW2 Highway Project

On April 22, 2021, Ding Hongliang, Secretary of the Party Branch and General Manager of the China Wuyi Papua New Guinea Branch, and Liu Liping, Deputy Manager of the Contract Department, signed the Supplementary Contract Agreement for the CW2 Highway Project with the Government of Papua New Guinea on behalf of the branch. The Governor of PNG, His Excellency Bob Dadae, and Mr. David Wereh, Secretary-General of the Engineering Department, attended the signing ceremony on behalf of the project owner.

The CW2 project is located in the Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea, with a total length of about 161 kilometers. The supplementary agreement stipulates the adjustment scope of the CW2 project change, and the contract value for this change is about 97.23 million yuan. After the change, the total contract value of the project is approximately 421 million yuan.

At present, China Wuyi has established branches in more than 10 countries along the Belt and Road, with business covering more than 30 countries and regions around the world, a total of 13 engineering fields, and a total of more than 100 projects have been completed. In Africa, more than 1,000 kilometers of high-grade highways have been built in Wuyi, China, and a number of airports, hospitals and China-Africa friendly primary school projects have established an excellent "CHINA WU YI" brand.
