Building the Qinghai-Tibet Railway has been the dream of generations of Chinese, and the snow-covered plateau ushered in the railway era. Recently, the construction of the Lhasa-Nyingchi section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway undertaken by China Railway Construction Group, Shannan Station, Gongga Station, Dranang Station, Sangri Station, and Jiacha Station has basically been completed, shining in the "Roof of the World". Hui.
The Lalin Railway is the first electrified railway in Tibet with a total length of 435.5 kilometers and a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour. After completion, it will end the history of no trains in Shannan City.
The builders fully integrated the characteristics of Tibetan culture, cleverly matched the three main colors of saffron, golden, and snow white, and widely used the elements of snowy lotus, auspicious knot, pulu, etc., on the facade of the station building, the canopy of the waiting hall platform, The ticket hall, exit hall and other locations will strive to create a new benchmark for the boutique station houses in the snow-covered plateau.
Shannan Station
Shannan, also known as Yalong, is the birthplace of the Tibetan nation and the cradle of Tibetan culture. It has a long history and splendid culture. The exterior facade of the station building extracts the morphological features of Yongbulakang, layer by layer.
The pillars are embedded with hidden red lines, and the foot of the pillars is added with stone carvings of auspicious knot cultural patterns. The small window holes in the central curtain wall are taken from the window grilles of traditional Tibetan architecture, which perfectly interprets "the source of Tibet, the south of the mountain, the bank of the river, and the blue of the lake" Impression of Shannan.
The suspended ceiling of the waiting hall adopts the structure method that combines the algae well and the lucky knot to create an overall agile sense of space. The snow lotus pattern is cleverly integrated into the ceiling shape to convey good wishes for good luck.
Gongga Station
Gongga is the air gateway to Tibet, and many travelers who have "flyed" thousands of miles to learn about Tibet from here.
The station building’s facade adopts a three-section layout. The columns are drawn from the traditional local dwellings and the eaves are overhanging beams. The large white walls are used to embellish the red eaves. The national intangible cultural heritage "Jedexiu" pattern is extracted to show the Tibetan people’s Holy and pure.
Zanang Station
Danang is located in the middle-south part of Tibet and the middle reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River. It has the reputation of "Tibetan Granary" and "Hometown of Pulu".
The design concept of the station building is "white sanctuary, colorful pulu". The exterior facade combines local architectural features. The main façade adopts a vertical three-segment style. The overall effect is simple and lively. The main color is white and embellished with red. It is integrated into the local hand-made "pulu". The "lu" element, the abstract design enriches the facade, reflecting the warmth and hospitality of the Tibetan people.
Sangri Station
Sangri is rich in mineral resources, grasslands are full of cattle and sheep, gorges and hot springs flow, sacred mountains and holy lakes gather, and the natural landscape is magical and charming. The design concept of the station building is "the source of Tibet, the beauty of plateau", and the facade is integrated into the "red deer" of Sangri The elements, using modern architectural techniques, combined with Tibetan architectural features, blended in red and white, are solemn and magnificent, highlighting the beauty of the plateau.
The ceiling of the waiting hall is separated by aluminum veneer, the column and ceiling veneer are closed vertically, and the embedded Tibetan-shaped engraving is added, which pays homage to the profound Tibetan culture.
Gacha Station
Ramratso, Budanla Mountain, Nayu River Valley, and the ruins of Diaolou in Nomi Village give Jiacha unique natural scenery and cultural customs. The facade is taken from the local "diaolou" site, and the entrance glass curtain wall is like a lake reflecting the blue sky, interpreting the Tibetan regional culture through the perfect combination of tradition and modernity.
The stigma of the waiting hall adds Tibetan decorative belts and auspicious knot patterns. The shape refers to the "diaolou" ruins and echoes the exterior facade of the station building, creating a strong atmosphere of national unity.
Three-dimensional transportation such as highways and railways has become a strong support for the economic and social development of Tibet. Currently, the entire Lalin Railway is undergoing static acceptance and it is expected to be ready for operation by the end of June. Editor/Sang Xiaomei
