Xi Jinping pointed out that since 2020, China-Uzbekistan relations have withstood the test of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. The two sides have supported each other on issues involving each other's core interests, and worked closely in international and regional affairs, effectively safeguarding the common interests of the two countries. 2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. Standing at a new historical starting point, China is willing to work with Uzbekistan to carry forward the past and forge ahead, promote the continuous development of China-Uzbekistan comprehensive strategic partnership, seek common development and revitalization, and benefit the two peoples.

Xi Jinping emphasized that China is willing to work with Uzbekistan to take the opportunity of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year to comprehensively improve the scale, quality and level of China-Uzbekistan cooperation, strengthen the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and the "New Uzbekistan" plan, and promote connectivity and deepen Trade and investment cooperation, expand cooperation in education, culture, tourism, local, sports and other fields, and continue to strengthen vaccine cooperation. China is willing to share poverty reduction experience with Uzbekistan and explore the establishment of a poverty reduction cooperation mechanism. The two sides should strengthen cooperation in the areas of law enforcement, security and defense, and jointly maintain regional security and stability.

Under the wise leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, China has made remarkable achievements in economic and social development and won the battle against poverty. I fully agree with General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important statement that the international community should unite to respond to the new crown pneumonia epidemic and countries must respect each other and treat each other as equals. Uzbekistan fully supports China in hosting the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics, and is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with China in regional affairs such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
