At 13:41 on May 6, 2021, with the precise docking of the 30# wind turbine wheel hub and the main engine bolts in the air, Huadian’s Guangdong Yangjiang Qingzhou San 500MW offshore wind power project successfully completed the installation of its first wind turbine, marking China’s first offshore wind power project. The deep-water offshore wind power project has achieved a historic leap in deep-sea wind turbine installation from scratch.

Assemble the unit

The wind turbine hoisted this time is Mingyang's 6.8MW domestically developed wind turbine. The weight of the main engine is 280 tons, the height of the hub is 106 meters, and the length of a single blade is 76.6 meters. After careful planning and material verification, the hoisting task will be officially launched at 16:10 on May 1, 2021. Faced with the problems of water depth and large wind and surge in offshore wind farms, in order to ensure the safe and smooth installation of the first wind turbine, and to accumulate valuable experience for subsequent installation work, on-site construction personnel monitor the wind speed in real time, and carry out hoisting construction at the best hoisting time. Each construction process Strictly and meticulously, the hoisting construction of four sections of tower tube, main engine and impeller was completed successively, with the highest hoisting height of 122 meters (including the height of slings). After nearly 5 days of hard work, Huadian's first wind turbine in Guangdong officially settled in Yangjiang Qingzhou waters!

It is reported that after the project is put into operation, it can provide society with about 1.5 billion kWh of clean electricity, save 461,500 tons of standard coal, reduce 435,500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, 14.60 tons of soot, and 14,300 tons of ash. The social and economic benefits are significant. At the same time, it will play an important role in building a world-class wind power industry base in Yangjiang and accelerating the transformation and upgrading of Guangdong's energy structure.

The wind of the ocean is coming, and the central enterprises should strive to advance against the wind. In the next step, the project company will actively do a good job in data collection and analysis, experience summary and construction optimization during the hoisting process, and work together with all participating construction parties, with great concentration, and strive to capture the full capacity of the Qingzhou III project before the end of the year and put it into production.
