Ruimei Railway is a component of the original Yingmei Railway and is a carryover project of the national "Twelfth Five-Year" railway development plan. The project has been included in the national medium and long-term railway network plan, the railway "13th Five-Year" development plan and the "13th Five-Year" Modern comprehensive transportation system development plan.
The route passes through 7 counties (cities, districts) including Ruijin City, Huichang County, Anyuan County, Xunwu County, and Pingyuan County, Meixian District, and Meijiang District in Meizhou City, Guangdong. The total length of the route is about 243.89 kilometers, and the total investment is about about 243.89 kilometers. 16.79 billion yuan.
The project focuses on passenger transportation and takes into account freight transportation. It is designed according to the National Railway Class I single-line design, with a target speed of 160 km/h (reserved speed-up conditions).
A total of 7 stations will be set up on the whole line in the near future, including 2 connecting stations (Ruijin Station, Meizhou Station) and 5 intermediate stations (Huichang, Anyuan, Xunwu, Pingyuan, Yinying).
