Recently, according to the latest news from the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the feasibility study report of the Jiamin Line Project of Shanghai Rail Transit City Line has been officially approved.

The main line of the Jiamin Line Project of Shanghai Rail Transit City Line is 44.04 kilometers long, passing through Jiading District and Minhang District. From Jiading Chengbei Road Station, via Xincheng Road Station, Jiajian Road Station, Fengmao Road Station, Nanxiang Station, Jinyuan 5th Road Station, Jinyun Road Station, Tianshan Road Station, Hongqiao Station, Yingbin 3rd Road Station, Shanghai Xinglu Station, Qibao Station, Qixin Road Station, Xinjian Road Station, to Minhang Yindu Road Station.

Except for the Hongqiao hub section, which is laid on the ground, the length of the ground section is 2.68 kilometers, and the rest are all underground sections, the length of which is 41.36 kilometers. There are 14 underground stations and 1 ground station on the whole line. It adopts EMU trains with a maximum operating speed of 160 km/h, and a combined fast and slow train transportation mode.

It is understood that the Jiamin line is the north-south skeleton line in the Shanghai area network. After the completion of the project, it will realize the transfer with 9 rail transit lines 2, 9 and 12 lines, as well as the city area line airport connecting line, promote the efficient interconnection of transportation infrastructure in the Yangtze River Delta, and further promote Hongqiao International Open the development of hubs and improve the city's rail transit network.
