The Dunbai High-speed Railway is located in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province and is an important part of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. The line starts from Dunhua City, passes through Antu County, and ends at Erdaobaihe Town. It has a total length of 113 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. There are 4 stations in Changbai Mountain, Yongqing, Dunhua South, and Dunhua (existing).

The Dunbai High-speed Railway officially started construction on August 16, 2017, and the track laying project will be launched in August 2020. Due to the long winter, large temperature difference between day and night in the northern region, and the difficulty of equipment maintenance in winter, this high-speed railway puts forward higher requirements for the locking of seamless tracks, the welding process of rails, and the geometric dimensions of track switches. In order to promote the track laying project safely and efficiently, the construction unit adopted the most advanced CPG500 track laying unit in China, which can save more than half of the time compared with manual track laying, and greatly improve the construction efficiency.

This time, the Dunbai High-speed Railway introduced the Changhui High-speed Railway transfer operation, which was all carried out at night "skylight" points, and the transfer project task was successfully completed in just over 5 hours. This is the first high-speed railway to Changbai Mountain, a famous tourist attraction, and the most convenient railway transportation route to Changbai Mountain from Jilin, Changchun and the north. The Dunbai High-speed Railway is the southward extension of the Changhui High-speed Railway. It will form a fast passenger railway ring line in the southeast of Jilin Province with the planned Shenyang-Baihe (Tonghua-Baihe section) and Siping-Tonghua passenger dedicated line.
