In Russia, the huge potential of raw material resources has stimulated the development of petrochemical products. Russia’s second largest oil producer, Lukoil, President Vajt Alekperov reported that Lukoil plans to invest US$3 billion in the production of petrochemical products in the next six years.
Alekperov made the above speech at the commissioning ceremony of the isomerization unit of the NORSI refinery under Lukoil. He said that the unit is part of Russia's efforts to improve fuel quality and ecological standards.
Lukoil predicts the annual output of the device is 800,000 tons. This will help Lukoil to increase gasoline production by 400,000 tons per year.
