According to the Chief of Staff of the Philippine Armed Forces Sobehana, at about 11:30 on July 4, a C130 transport plane of the Philippine military crashed near the town of Patikul in Sulu Province, carrying at least 85 people on board.
There was a fire at the crash site, heavy smoke billowing, and serious damage to the fuselage. The search and rescue operation is underway. So far, 40 people have been rescued. Editor/He Yuting
