seetao.com learned from the China Railway Kunming Bureau Group that on July 11, the Yuxi-Mohan Railway of the China-Laos Railway entered the static acceptance stage, which marked the completion of the main project construction and one step closer to the opening of operation at the end of 2021.
Static acceptance is an important part of the completion acceptance of a new railway project. It is a decisive procedure for judging the quality of the project and determining whether the project can be put into operation on schedule. It is a comprehensive "physical examination" for project construction and equipment installation.
It is reported that the static acceptance will last from July to the end of September. The railway department will transfer professional and technical personnel into 5 groups to conduct inspections on the roadbed, bridges and culverts, tunnels, tracks, precision measurement control network, and tunnel disaster prevention of the Yuxi-Mohan Railway. Rescue evacuation, sound barrier engineering and safety protection facilities, and the surrounding environment are pulled-net inspections to lay the foundation for subsequent dynamic acceptance and opening operations.
The China-Laos Railway is more than 1,000 kilometers long, starting from Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province in the north, to Vientiane, the capital of Laos, in the south. It consists of two sections, the domestic section and the Lao section. After opening to traffic, it will only take more than 3 hours from Kunming City, Yunnan Province to Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, and it is expected that direct transportation to Vientiane, Laos, will be achieved on the same day.
