The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has awarded Sepem a $510 million contract to upgrade the Shah gas plant in the UAE. The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Best Shah Natural Gas Expansion (OSGE) and natural gas collection project was awarded by ADNOC Sour Gas, a joint venture between ADNOC and the US energy giant Western.

The contract covers the construction and commissioning of engineering, material supply, and other components of the Shah Gas Plant. It also includes the expansion of the existing natural gas collection network and new mat facilities. Tayba Al Hashemi, CEO of ASG, said: "The expansion of the Shah will optimize the plant while increasing production capacity and high-end product recovery rates, further increasing our contribution as a safe and reliable natural gas supplier to ADNOC and the UAE.
