Recently, the feasibility study report of the first phase of Foshan Urban Rail Transit Line 4 was officially approved by the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

The first phase of Foshan Urban Rail Transit Line 4 starts from Beijiang Avenue Station in the west and ends at Gangkou Road Station in the east. The total length of the line is 55.21 kilometers, including 49.13 kilometers underground section, 5.17 kilometers elevated section, and 0.91 kilometers transition section. There are 33 stations (including 30 underground stations and 3 elevated stations). The project uses 6 B-type vehicles in a marshalling, with a maximum operating speed of 100 km/h. The project investment is estimated at 44.601 billion yuan. The project owner is Foshan Railway Investment and Construction Group Co., Ltd., responsible for project investment, construction and management.
