On July 25, 2021, the much-watched Lalin Railway was opened for operation for a whole month. In one month, the Lalin Railway transported 106,000 passengers, with an average of 3,500 passengers per day. Traveling on the Fuxing Plateau EMU has become the first choice for local people.

On June 25, 2021, after the opening of the Lalin Railway, Lhasa to Shannan and Nyingchi can be reached in 1 hour 10 minutes, 3 hours and 29 minutes; Shannan to Nyingchi can be reached in 2 hours and 22 minutes; Xigaze to Nyingchi can be reached in 6 minutes. It can be reached in 56 minutes. Compared with automobile transportation, it saves almost half of the time from Lhasa to Nyingchi, and it saves more than 2 hours from Shannan to Nyingchi. The advantage of railway transportation is immediate. The passenger flow of Lalin Railway is mainly tourist flow, visiting family flow, working flow and student flow. The ticket source from Lhasa to Shannan and Nyingchi is sufficient to meet the travel needs of different passengers.

In order to better serve passengers, China Railway Qinghai-Tibet Group Co., Ltd. has selected a group of flight attendants with good image, good business and rich service experience to take the Fuxing Plateau EMU. During the operation, the train broadcast continuously broadcasts the location and usage of the train's oxygen supply equipment, toilets, and electric tea stoves, which is convenient for passengers to use. After the pre-specialized training, the cabin crew will serve as temporary interpreters, tour guides, and doctors to provide passengers with a wealth of travel services; at the same time, the toilet, bar, and cabin hygiene are checked and cleaned at any time to provide passengers with a clean and hygienic journey environment.

The Qinghai-Tibet Group Corporation comprehensively strengthened the maintenance of the equipment of the Fuxing Plateau EMU. When the locomotives are in and out of the warehouse, the vehicle's professional and technical personnel will conduct a comprehensive inspection of the service facilities such as the cabin seats, air conditioners, oxygen generators, and toilets. During the operation, the on-board equipment analysts conduct continuous remote monitoring and analysis on the on-board LKJ equipment, and notify the on-duty personnel to get on the car for inspection as soon as the problem is found. During the "full moon" when the Lalin Railway was opened and operated, the good rate of locomotive equipment out of the warehouse has been maintained at 100%.

The Lalin Railway passes through an area of 226,000 square kilometers, accounting for 18.4% of the total area of the Tibet Autonomous Region, directly benefiting 1.31 million people, accounting for 38.2% of the total population of the Autonomous Region.
