[PKN ORLEN partners with Alstom on hydrogen railway]On May 20, 2022, PKN ORLEN signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Alstom to provide zero-emission, environmentally friendly trains and hydrogen fuel for public rail transport. The company has been implementing a hydrogen strategy, announcing in 2022 that it will provide the fueling infrastructure for trains produced by Alstom. Recently, the first 33 kV collection line of the 96.9 MW photovoltaic project in Vaira, Peru was successfully powered once. The live equipment is running stably, and the project has officially entered the live commissioning stage. After the completion of the project, the average annual power generation is expected to reach 250 million kilowatt hours, which can meet the annual electricity demand of about 230000 Peruvian households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 150000 tons per year.Editor/Cheng Liting
