Thailand's high-speed rail selects partners in different directions, with the northern line connecting to Japan and the northeast Bangkok Langkai project being a Sino Thai cooperation project that can cross-border connect Laos and China. The first phase of the China Thailand high-speed railway is under construction, and negotiations are underway for the second phase. The northern route focuses on local passenger transportation in northern Thailand and has no cross-border function.
