As a strategic project for Yellow River management, its dam site controls over 60% of the basin area. After the official start of construction in 2024, a large amount of earthwork and concrete work has been completed. In 2027, the river will be intercepted, and after full completion in 2034, it can supply water to more than ten million acres of farmland in Shanxi and Shaanxi, and supplement the follow-up power of Xiaolangdi water and sediment regulation. As the only LNG refueling hub in the Three Gorges Reservoir area that operates stably year-round, the LNG refueling terminal in Guizhou Town, Zigui County, Hubei Province is known as the "green energy supply station" on the water in the Three Gorges Reservoir area. Since its official operation, the refueling volume has continued to steadily increase.
