• [Chongqing 500 kV transmission and transformation project put into operation]
• On May 17, 2026, with the power transmission of the second main transformer of the 500 kV Xinyu substation, the first 500 kV transmission and transformation project in Chongqing's 15th Five Year Plan, the Banan Xinyu 500 kV transmission and transformation project, was put into operation. Two new main transformers with a total capacity of 2 million kVA will be built for the project, along with 53 kilometers of 500 kV transmission lines.
