• Recently, China National Chemical Corporation and Kazakhstan Copper Industry signed an EPC general contracting agreement to undertake the construction of a new sulfuric acid plant at the local Rezkazgan copper smelter, with a contract amount of 213.76 million US dollars. The project will build a new sulfuric acid facility and renovate the existing flue gas purification system, with an annual production capacity of 350000 tons for the sulfuric acid plant. After completion, the smoke capture rate can reach 99%, significantly reducing sulfur dioxide emissions. • On August 17, 2026, the China Tendering and Bidding Announcement Service Platform announced that China Electric Power Construction Jiangxi Hydropower won the bid for the 500000 kW wind power EPC project of Yingke Huizhi (Phase II) in Xinxing City, Xinjiang 13th Division for 1.6 billion yuan. The project is located in the Gobi Desert, equipped with 75MW/150MWh energy storage and a new 220kV substation. Compared to the previous bidding, the winning bid price has been reduced by over 700 million yuan, and the unit cost per kilowatt has significantly decreased. The price difference between the other two candidates is less than 3%. This project is a key market-oriented grid connected new energy project in the local area, supporting the transmission of Xinjiang electricity and the construction of a new power system in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
