• On September 21, 2026, the first 2-ton load tethered balloon in China was successfully put into trial operation in the Xizang section of the ± 800 kV UHV DC transmission project from Southeast Tibet to the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The diameter of the tethered balloon in this trial run is 25 meters and the volume is 8000 cubic meters.
