On September 17, 2026, the first Hualong 1 nuclear power unit in Hainan, Unit 3 of the Huaneng Changjiang Nuclear Power Phase II project, was officially put into commercial operation. The unit is equipped with China's fully independent intellectual property rights of the Hualong One third-generation pressurized water reactor nuclear power technology. On September 13, 2026, the first unit of the Xinjiang Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub Project, invested and constructed by China Energy Engineering Gezhouba Group, successfully passed a 72 hour trial operation and was officially put into operation for power generation. As one of the 172 major water conservancy projects designated by the State Council for water-saving and water supply, the Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub Project in Xinjiang broke the world record for concrete faced gravel dams with a maximum dam height of 247 meters.
