• On June 10, 2026, the second phase of the Huaihe River estuary waterway project, the second river hub section, successfully passed the underwater engineering stage acceptance for the flood control gate of the estuary waterway. The flood control gate of the Huaihe River estuary is an important component of the second level hub of the second phase of the Huaihe River estuary project. After completion, it will work together with the flood control gate to jointly discharge the floodwaters of Hongze Lake, increasing the designed flood discharge from the original 2270 cubic meters per second to 7000 cubic meters per second, further enhancing the downstream flood discharge capacity.
