On June 9, 2026, the world's largest 271000 cubic meter LNG transport ship started construction at Zhonghua Shipbuilding in Hudong, with a total length of 344 meters and equipped with the latest domestically produced membrane enclosure system, increasing cargo capacity by 57% compared to mainstream 174000 cubic meter ships. It is planned to be delivered in 2028. At present, the global market share of LNG ships in China has exceeded 30%, and Hudong Zhonghua holds nearly 60 orders, scheduled until after 2030, firmly ranking first in global construction. Recently, the ground management project for the 800000 ton coal to olefin project of Dongming Plastics in Xinjiang has started, and the safety production month has been launched simultaneously. The total investment of the project is 18.967 billion yuan. It uses coal as raw material to produce polymer grade ethylene propylene through methanol and MTO, and is equipped with 400000 tons of PP, 400000 tons of PE, and EPDM rubber plants.
