The project is an integral part of the Zhejiang section of the Shanghai Suzhou Jiading Intercity Railway, with a total length of 55km, a total investment of 26.5 billion yuan, a construction period of 6 years and a plan to be completed and put into operation in 2028. The project is located in Golmud City, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province, with an average altitude of about 2850 meters.
