• On October 13, 2025, Yizhi Future Technology Co., Ltd. in Yingjisha County announced the bidding results for the EPC general contracting project of 300000 kW/1.2 million kWh grid type independent energy storage in Yiyatong Yingjisha County. The bidding results show that the consortium of China Energy Engineering Group Xinjiang Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. and China Gezhouba Group Electromechanical Construction Co., Ltd. won the bid for the project, with a bid price of 112175752942 yuan, equivalent to a unit price of 0.935 yuan/Wh. According to the previously released bidding announcement, the project is located in Yingjisha County, Kashgar Prefecture, Xinjiang, and plans to build a 300MW/1200MWh grid type independent energy storage power station and a 220kV collection station, with supporting transmission projects. The energy storage device adopts a lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system, and the inverter system and energy storage battery system are all arranged in a prefabricated cabin. It is proposed to connect 12 independent 35kV cable lines to the 35kV busbar side of the newly built 220kV boosting collection station in this project, which will be completed in one go in this phase.Editor/Bian Wenjun

• Recently, under the joint witness of Luo Qianyi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Dongfang Electric Group, and Yusuf Ali, CEO of Etihad Hydro in the United Arab Emirates, Chen Qiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Dongfang International, and Mohammed Sheikh, CEO of the United Arab Emirates Public Utility Development Company, officially signed the EPC general contract for the BESS1 battery energy storage project in the United Arab Emirates at the Ministry of Energy. This project is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is the largest grid side energy storage project publicly tendered by the UAE, the first project to be implemented after the establishment of the UAE Public Utility Development Company, and also the largest energy storage project of Dongfang Electric Group overseas.
