[China's newly installed photovoltaic capacity is 65.71GW]As of the end of November 2022, China's cumulative wind power and solar power installed capacity will increase by 15.1% and 29.4% year-on-year, much higher than thermal power. Editor/He Yuting
The 40 wind turbines of the 200 MW wind power project in Quguogamu, Xizang, contracted by Powerchina, have all been hoisted recently, marking a critical step towards the goal of full capacity grid connection of the largest wind power project under construction in Xizang. The average altitude of the project site exceeds 4800 meters, with the highest machine position reaching 4850 meters, which is recognized as the industry's restricted area for wind power construction. After the project is fully put into operation, the annual on grid electricity is expected to exceed 436 million kilowatt hours, equivalent to saving 131500 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 359400 tons per year. The water level of the Danube River has been slowly rising recently, and the cooling water conditions have improved. The Baokesh Nuclear Power Plant will gradually resume power supply from August 10, 2026, and has begun to increase the power generation of Unit 2. Previously, due to the low water level of the Danube River and insufficient cooling water sources, Units 1, 3, and 4 of the Baokesh Nuclear Power Plant were shut down, while Unit 2 operated at 50% power for 11 days.
