  • Recently, the bidding results for the preliminary work of the Jinan Liaocheng Expressway renovation and expansion project, a key transportation infrastructure project in Shandong Province, were officially announced. A consortium composed of Shandong Provincial Transportation Planning and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd., Hubei Provincial Transportation Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., and other enterprises, with professional technical strength, rich experience in high-speed renovation and expansion, and reasonable planning, successfully won the core sections of the project's survey, design, supervision, etc., marking the substantial progress stage of this traffic artery upgrade project with a total investment of 13.284 billion yuan. As an important passage connecting Jinan and Liaocheng, the Jinan Liaocheng Expressway is also a key component of Shandong Province's "Nine Verticals, Five Horizontals, One Ring, Seven Shoots and Multiple Connections" expressway network. The project starts in Huaiyin District, Jinan City and ends in Dongchangfu District, Liaocheng City, with a total length of about 92.7 kilometers. Currently, it is a two-way four lane expressway. With the development of regional economy and society and the continuous growth of traffic flow, the existing traffic capacity is difficult to meet the demand. This renovation and expansion project is upgraded according to the standards of a two-way eight lane expressway, with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour and a roadbed width of 42 meters.   • Recently, the winning bid for the design and construction of the S539 Jiuli to Longchi section renovation project, a key transportation infrastructure project in Emeishan City, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, was officially announced. The consortium formed by MCC Tiangong Group Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Provincial Transportation Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. successfully won the project with a bid price of 601.26 million yuan, marking the substantial progress of the upgrading project of the transportation artery connecting the eastern, central and western parts of Emeishan City. The S539 line, as a core component of the transportation network in Emeishan City, starts from Linjiang Village in Jiuli Town and intersects with the S429 line. It runs from east to west, passing through multiple villages and towns such as Xingyang Village, Xingsheng Village, Liane Village, Huilong Village, and Taoyuan Village, and finally ends at the planned Wanping Tourist Distribution Center in Longchi Town. It connects smoothly with the under construction S539 Longchi to Hongyajie section, with a total length of 49.41 kilometers. The construction content of the project covers two major parts, of which 5.57km is a pavement reconstruction section and 43.84km is a new reconstruction section. The overall construction is in accordance with the standards of Class II and third-class highway, and will simultaneously promote road widening, bridge construction and reconstruction, culvert supporting, traffic safety facilities upgrading and greening along the line. The total project duration is 730 calendar days, including a 60 day survey and design period.
