On May 20, 2026, the main tower of the Jiangzhou Bridge on the Poyang Lake Tourist Highway in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province was successfully topped out, breaking the world record for the tallest composite structure inclined tower. The main project of the bridge was completed. The bridge is a cable-stayed steel bridge without backstays, which will set two world records. The main tower is a three-dimensional space irregular structure, and the construction difficulty is extremely high. The project team relied on multiple innovative processes and precise monitoring technologies to overcome construction difficulties and successfully completed the installation of the steel tower. Subsequently, ancillary projects such as bridge deck paving and landscape lighting will be promoted, and it is planned to have the conditions for opening to traffic in June.
