• On October 29, 2026, the Zhanjiang section of Lanhai Expressway officially started construction and is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by 2030. The total length of the route is 152 kilometers, with four lanes in both directions, making it the second expressway from mainland China to Hainan Island. The project aims to build Guangdong's first fully chain intelligent construction site laboratory, selecting routes to avoid mangrove and coral reef protection areas, optimizing design to reduce land use by 996 acres. • [Liaogang Group's first decentralized wind power starts construction]
• In October 2026, Liaogang Group's Dayaowan 6.25-megawatt decentralized wind power project entered the substantive construction stage. The project will build one new wind turbine and supporting facilities, with an annual power generation of about 15 million kilowatt hours and an annual reduction of 7250 tons of carbon dioxide emissions after commissioning. At present, Liaogang Group has built a photovoltaic installed capacity of 36.6 megawatts, generating over 40 million kilowatt hours of green electricity annually. After the completion of the next two distributed photovoltaic projects, the total photovoltaic installed capacity will exceed 49.9 megawatts, and the port's self-sufficiency in green electricity will continue to improve.
