[Seriti Resources to build South Africa's largest wind farm in Mpumalanga]The green energy subsidiary of South Africa-based coal producer Seriti Resources plans to build a wind farm in Mpumalanga province. Seriti Resources has signed a long-term agreement to obtain electricity from the farm. The 155 MW plant will be built by subsidiary Seriti Green. On December 24, 2025, Baofeng (Luotian County) Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. officially tendered and launched the EPC (Design, Procurement, Construction) general contracting work for the Baofeng Luotian 200MW/400MWh independent energy storage power station project. The project is located in Luotian County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province, with a planned construction land of approximately 40 acres (26680 square meters). The project will construct a 200MW/400MWh lithium iron phosphate electrochemical energy storage system, and simultaneously build a new 220kV boosting station, install 2 main transformers with a capacity of 120MVA, and ultimately connect to the existing 220kV Bodaofeng substation in the local area through 2 220kV lines. The total investment of the project is approximately 540 million yuan, with a unit cost of approximately 1.35 yuan/Wh. The project funds will be self raised by the enterprise.Editor/Yang Meiling
