  • Recently, the key implementation project of the 14th Five Year Plan for pumped storage in China, the Inner Mongolia Meidai Pumped Storage Power Station project, started construction in Tuyou Banner. The total investment of the project is 8.2 billion yuan, with a total installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts. It is equipped with four single unit 300000 kilowatt reversible water pump turbine generators, and the first unit is planned to be put into operation and generate electricity in 2032.
