On July 26, 2026, the first wind power project in Cambodia, the Mondulkirisen Monolon 150 MW wind power project, officially started construction by the 14th Bureau of Hydroelectric Power. The project is located in the mountainous area of Mondulkiri Province, with a planned deployment of 24 wind turbines and supporting facilities such as roads and power collection lines. After the completion of the project, clean power can be supplied, the local energy structure can be improved, and Cambodia's green transformation can be assisted. It is a model of green energy cooperation in the joint construction of the the Belt and Road between China and Cambodia.
