Revitalize old roads and speed up! China Construction Xinjiang Construction Engineering participated in the construction of the Chengnan Expressway expansion project, which was successfully opened to traffic
The Chengnan Expressway, which has been in operation for over 20 years, has completed in-situ expansion and renovation. The entire line has been upgraded to a two-way eight lane highway, effectively clearing traffic congestion points and improving the road network in the Chengdu Chongqing region, injecting traffic momentum into regional development. The Chengnan Expressway has a total length of 240 kilometers and is the largest in-situ expansion project for highways in Sichuan. China Construction Xinjiang Engineering Group is responsible for the construction of a 19 kilometer road section, spanning two districts and counties, multiple rivers and villages, including 19 bridges, with complex construction conditions. The project adopts segmented construction, intelligent construction and other methods to overcome multiple technical difficulties, and will be completed and opened to traffic on December 31, 2025. After the road is widened, the traffic capacity is significantly improved, which not only facilitates people's travel, but also helps with the circulation of industries along the route and regional coordinated development.Editor / Li Xiaohua
