[The Pangduo Water Diversion Project in Lhasa, Tibet officially commenced] On March 20, 2023, the construction of the Pangduo Water Diversion Project in Lhasa City, Tibet Autonomous Region began. According to reports, this project is one of the major water conservancy projects that the Ministry of Water Resources will focus on promoting in 2023, with a total construction period of 60 months and a total investment of 2.3 billion yuan. It is reported that the Penduo Water Diversion Project uses the Penduo Reservoir as the water source, utilizes the completed Penduo Reservoir for regulation and water intake from the reservoir water conveyance tunnel, diverts water through a new water diversion gate at the end of the water conveyance tunnel, uses the new pipeline and tunnel to convey water to the Lhasa Najin Water Plant, and sets up a water diversion port in the urban area of Linzhou County to provide emergency water supply to the urban area of Linzhou County if necessary. The project is a Class II large (2) water conservancy project with a total length of 51.5 kilometers of water transmission lines. It is understood that this project is a key water conservancy project planned and constructed by the autonomous region during the 14th Five Year Plan period. The project takes the Penduo Reservoir as the water source, utilizes the completed Penduo Reservoir for regulation and water intake from the reservoir water conveyance tunnel, diverts water through a new water diversion gate at the end of the water conveyance tunnel, uses the new pipeline and tunnel to convey water to Lhasa City's Najin Water Plant, and sets a water diversion port in the urban area of Linzhou County to provide emergency water supply to the urban area of Linzhou County if necessary. It is reported that the deck cargo ship "Green Source No.1" has a total tonnage of 6731, a net tonnage of 3769, a length of 125.8 meters, and a width of 28 meters. The ship adopts a single-layer deck design, which can carry more than 160 new energy vehicles on a single voyage under full load conditions. The parking capacity is about 60% higher than that of existing passenger and roll on/roll off transport ships. The ship is planned to be deployed on the route from Hai'an New Port in Zhanjiang to Xiuying Port in Haikou. After being put into operation, it will add a new mode of sea transportation for new energy vehicles in the Qiongzhou Strait and effectively alleviate the tense situation of insufficient capacity for new energy vehicle transportation during the peak period of cross sea vehicle transportation in the Qiongzhou Strait.
